Building Inspector
The Town of Porter Building Inspector is also the Code Enforcement
Officer. He is charged by the Town Board to enforce the Town of
Porter Property Maintenance Code (to
review the code click here).
Prior to starting ANY projects around your home
or property, you need to check with the Building Inspector to see
what, if any, permits are required. To see what building permit
requirements are and to determine if you need a permit click
here.
Note: Should residents need to appear before the Planning Board
or Zoning Board of Review, the Building Inspector MUST be contacted
first and the Request
for Board Action form must be completed.

ANY project, requiring a building permit, started prior to receiving the permit, shall be subject to a $250.00 per day fine
