Story Hour
Are you looking for a fun, family-friendly activity for your pre-schooler
(ages 2.5-5)? New to the area? Want to meet other moms with little
ones? The Town of Porter Story Hour is a great place to start!
Town of Porter Summer Story Hour 2011
Classes will be held at 10 am each day. The Tuesday program will be held in the Youngstown Red Brick School Gym and The Wednesday program will be held at the Ransomville library.

We will again have a caring and sharing box at each library for the animals. Needed items include: pet food, cleaning supplies, old blankets or linens and storage containers.

Easter Egg Hunt
The Town of Porter Recreation Commission will hold their Annual Easter Egg Hunt Saturday,March 27th at 11:00 SHARP, at Stevenson Elementary School, 3745 Ransomville Road, Ransomville, NY The Easter Bunny is scheduled to appear to hand out goody bags to all the children. Golden Eggs for additional prizes are hidden. All Town of Porter Children 11 years and under are welcome.

2011 Summer Recreation Program
Summer Recreation Program starts July 5th to August 11th, Monday through Friday 10:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. Attendance for a specified time period is not required. Program is for children going into 1st grade and including 10th grade.
Registration for the 2011 Summer Recreation Program will be June 29th and 30th at the Stevenson Elementary gym 10:a.m. to 3:00 p.m. Registration is mandatory. Everyone registering must, submit a copy of the child’s immunization form, complete a registration form, and sign the waiver before the child is allowed to attend. Those enrolling for the first time must have a copy of the child’s birth certificate and/or kindergarten report card stating promotion to first grade.

Summer Jobs:
The Town of Porter is looking for recreational supervisors to work for the summer recreation program (7 weeks). It is approximately 200 hours. You must be a high school graduate with experience working with large groups of children. Resumes are due at the Town of Porter Town Hall 3265 Creek Road, Youngstown, by May 20th.
