Story Hour
Are you looking for a fun, family-friendly activity for your pre-schooler
(ages 2.5-5)? New to the area? Want to meet other moms with little
ones? The Town of Porter Story Hour is a great place to start!
CALLING ALL PRESCHOOLERS BRING YOUR MOMS AND DADS IT’S TIME AGAIN FOR THE:
TOWN OF PORTER STORY HOUR PROGRAM
SIGN UP WILL BE HELD ON SEPTEMBER 15TH AT THE YOUNGSTOWN LIBRARY FROM 9:30-11AM
AND AT
THE RANSOMVILLE LIBRARY ON SEPTEMBER 16TH FROM 9:30-11AM.
THIS IS A FUN PRE-SCHOOL PROGRAM HELD WEEKLY AT EACH LIBRARY. YOU DO NOT HAVE TO BE A TOWN RESIDENT TO PARTICIPATE.
CLASSES WILL BEGIN THE FOLLOWING WEEK
TUESDAY THE 22ND AT THE YOUMGSTOWN LIBRARY
WEDNESDAY THE 23RD AT THE RANSOMVILLE LIBRARY
EACH LIBRARY WILL HOLD TWO CLASSES 9:30-10:30 AND 11-12 NOON ON THEIR RESPECTIVE DAYS.
THE PROGRAM WILL CONTINUE FOR THE ENTIRE SCHOOL YEAR AND FOLLOW THE SCHOOL CALENDAR.
OUR ACTIVITIES INCLUDE: BOOKS, GAMES, CRAFTS, HOLIDAY PARTIES, BIRTHDAY CELEBRATIONS AND SPECIAL GUESTS.

Easter Egg Hunt
The Town of Porter Recreation Commission will hold their Annual Easter Egg Hunt Saturday, April 4th at 11:00 SHARP, at Stevenson Elementary School, 3745 Ransomville Road, Ransomville, NY The Easter Bunny is scheduled to appear to hand out goody bags to all the children. Golden Eggs for additional prizes are hidden. All Town of Porter Children 11 years and under are welcome.

2009 Summer Recreation Program
At Stevenson Elementary Schoo,l Registration in the school gym July 1st and 2nd,
10:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.
Registration before the start of the program is highly advised. People who get the forms on line can request a calendar the first day of attendance. Those enrolling for the first time must have a copy of birth certificate or kindergarten report card stating promotion to 1stgrade.
Summer program starts July 7th - August 13th 10:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. (Monday – Friday)
Program is for children going into 1st grade to and including 10th grade.

Summer Jobs:
The Town of Porter is looking for recreational supervisors to work for the summer recreation program. June 29th to August 14th at Stevenson Elementary School Monday thur Friday 9:00am- 3:30pm.
You must be a high school graduate with experience working with large groups of children. Resumes due at the Town Hall 3265 Creek Road Youngstown by May 15th, interviews are June 1st in the evening. Pay rate is $8.50 per hour.
